2014 Infiniti Q70 Earns Top Safety Pick+ Award

At Infiniti, safety is always a top priority, so we were honored to learn at the beginning of this month that the 2014 Infiniti Q70 sedan has earned a top rating of “Good” from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. But wait! There’s more. When the Infiniti Q70 is equipped with its optional front crash prevention system, it does even better, earning the title of Top Safety Pick+. “Infiniti is very pleased that the Infiniti Q70 performed well in the small overlap protection test, earning it the prestigious 2014 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,” said Infiniti Americas Vice President, Michael Bartsch. “Infiniti has worked hard to incorporate technology into all of its vehicles that not only make the driving experience more dynamic, but also help make driving safer for both the driver and passengers. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s recognition of these efforts only serves to bolster our commitment to be leaders in this field.”

To earn the Top Safety Pick+ award a vehicle must  receive the following:

• A “good” or “acceptable” rating for small overlap protection
• “good” ratings in moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests.
• “basic”, “advanced” or “superior” rating for the front crash prevention test.

After passing all these tests, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety will grant a vehicle the Top Safety Pick+ title.
