Infiniti Reflects and Looks Forward
Infiniti is approaching its 25th Anniversary in November of 2014. Infiniti has taken this opportunity to look back at the past years, seeing how the brand has grown throughout and planning how to continue this growth in the years to come.
Infiniti recently announced plans to grow their product portfolio by 60 percent within the next five years. With this they will double the number of powertrains. Infiniti is on track to do this with the growth of their manufacturing footprint, expanding to China and the United Kingdom. Just last month, assembly of a 4-cylinder engine that will be used in Infiniti vehicles began at the Decherd Powertrain Plant in Tennessee.
Infiniti added the all new Infiniti Q50 in 2014 and this is just the beginning of new/refreshed vehicles to come. The new 2015 Infiniti QX80 Limited raised the bar for the premium vehicles offered by Infiniti. With so many features and amenities, it has everything a consumer would need–and therefore, there aren’t any options for upgrading. The 2015 Infiniti Q70 will receive a new trim with a longer wheelbase and an additional 5.9 inches of rear seat legroom. Both of these vehicles will be available in late 2014 and will come with innovative technologies like the Predicative Forward Collision Warning, also known as PFCW, and Backup Collision Intervention, also known as BCI.
There are other model updates that are to come, but we’ll have to save that for another day. Check back here for more information.
