It should be extremely obvious by now that the Direct Adaptive Steering System (which took nearly a decade of research to craft) is as valuable as it gets with regards to technologies enhancing the driving experience. The Japanese automaker is being honored once again by Popular Science, the world’s largest science and technology magazine, for the Direct Adaptive Steering technology in the annual “Best of What’s New” issue. Using advanced electronics to streamline the steering mechanism, The Direct Adaptive Steering System enables drivers to dictate how the driving experience feels. The Direct Adaptive Steering System is a testament to how far the Infiniti brand will go to provide the ultimate driving experience for the customer.

Michael Bartsch, vice-president, Infiniti Americas stated, “Direct Adaptive Steering™ – and the Infiniti Q50 itself – are really representative of the future of driving. It is more precise, quicker, less tiring, easier to keep the vehicle in the center of the lane, and allows previously unattainable levels of driver personalization. Someday all vehicles will have steer-by-wire, today we are the only one.”

The Infiniti brand is a front-runner in providing what can be reasonably expected in many years to come. Popular Science editors wrote that the Direct Adaptive Steering is “one of the biggest steps yet towards self-driving cars.”

Congratulations for the Infiniti brand for taking the driving experience to new heights.
