2016 Infiniti QX60 Named Top Safety Pick+

April 21st, 2016 by

Infiniti is excited to announce the 2016 Infiniti QX60 has earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Keep reading for more information.

In order to receive this award a vehicle must earn “good” ratings in small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, as well as an “advanced” or “superior” rating in front crash prevention.

The Infiniti QX60 has a variety of safety features like Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection or FEB for short. This technology calculates the distance between you and the car in front of you as well as speed to detect a possible crash. Then it can prevent it or mitigate it by alerting the driver or applying the brakes. Backup Collision Intervention or BCI for short. This technology lets the driver know if there is an object in the way when it is backing up. And then there is the Around View Monitor or AVM for short. This technology uses four wide-angle lenses to allow the driver to see more around the vehicle. It also comes with Moving Object Detection (MOD)

“Infiniti is obviously pleased to receive the exclusive IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, which reflects the organization’s strictest testing standards, for the 2016 QX60,” said Randy Parker, vice president, Infiniti Americas. “The enhancements to the QX60 for the new model year, especially in the expansion of its advanced technology features, once again raise the standard in the premium crossover segment.”

You can check out the 2016 Infiniti QX60 at Kearny Mesa Infiniti in the San Diego, CA area. There are a variety of new and pre-owned Infiniti vehicles on our lot. You can talk to any of our sales representatives about becoming the owner of one. We hope to see you soon!
