INFINITI at 2016 Paris Motor Show

October 5th, 2016 by

The Paris Motor Show sets itself apart as a venue for luxury carmakers to show off their best new models and concepts. This year, the INFINITI brand had a smaller footprint, but one that was no less significant for that. Kearny Mesa INFINITI examines what was shown, and what’s ahead for our INFINITI customers in San Diego, CA.

2017 INFINITI Q50: When the 2017 INFINITI Q50 arrives, it will be with a wider color palette, Designer Pack interior packages, and red brake calipers for the Red Sport 400 trim. There’s no word yet whether the infotainment system upgrades slated for Europe will be available in the US.

QX Sport Inspiration: This concept SUV was shown earlier this year in Beijing. The fact that it’s making an encore appearance in Paris is good news to those of us who loved its striking matte gray finish, its 20″ wheels, and its stunning, graceful appearance. After all, it suggests that the reception for this crossover is enthusiastic enough for the car to be prototyped for production. Hopefully, the company retains what makes this new INFINITI SUV unique when it finds its way to our San Diego, CA INFINITI dealer.

New Powerplant: The INFINITI brand made news ahead of Paris when they announced a new variable compression diesel engine. If rumors are correct that the INFINITI QX concept is the next generation INFINITI QX50, we would expect it to be at the head of the line to get the 2.0-liter four-cylinder VC turbodiesel engine when it’s rolled out for the 2018 model year.

In summary, there are some interesting things ahead for the customers in San Diego and Carlsbad, CA that we serve here at Kearny Mesa INFINITI. To find out more, give us a call or stop by and visit our showroom at 4670 Convoy St in San Diego, CA today.
