Infiniti Releases Info On VC-turbo Engine

For more than 20 years, the Infiniti brand has been working on a four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline VC-turbo engine. After many years of waiting, it’s finally here! This is a huge breakthrough in internal-combustion powertrain technology. It will be presented at the 2016 Paris Motor Show on September 29^th. Keep reading for more information!

This engine has sophisticated engine control logic that automatically applies the optimum ratio based on the driving conditions. The ratio can vary anywhere from 8:1 for high performance and 14:1 for high efficiency. There is no longer any limitation on the compression ratio. The engine can easily raise or lower the height of the pistons reach. So what is the benefit of having an engine like this? An engine like this drastically reduces the fuel consumption of the vehicle and therefore the emissions. But that’s not all. The engine also reduces noise and vibration, making the drive much more enjoyable and relaxing. And last but not least, the engine is also much lighter and more compact.
