The Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy Promo Tour
Last week Infiniti announced they will be touring the leading engineering colleges in the U.S. to promote their 2015 Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy, also known as IPEA for short. This program happens once a year and gives engineering students the opportunity to work with Infiniti and their four-time Formula One World Championship team. Want to know more about the program? Keep reading!
The tour kicked off last week on April 23 at Cornell University. The team will then travel to the University of Southern California on April 30 and end the tour on May 4 at Texas A&M. Students are invited to attend an informational session to learn about the program and how to apply. Infiniti will host an evening reception as well and allow students to meet Infiniti executives one on one. Students chosen for the program receive real world hands on training through Infiniti. They will receive a 12-month placement in the United Kingdom and split their time between the European technical center and the Red Bull racing team.
“This is a rare opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain experience in the notoriously difficult and competitive world of automotive engineering” said Allyson Witherspoon, Infiniti’s Director of Marketing Communications and Media. “It’s also a fantastic chance for Infiniti and Infiniti Red Bull racing to meet with the next generation of exceptional engineers and start discussions about the future of road cars and race cars simultaneously.”
Kearny Mesa Infiniti is excited about this opportunity for students! We invite everyone to stop by our San Diego area lot to check out the new and pre-owned Infiniti vehicles. So whether you’re a student wanting to study the engineering of these vehicles or a potential consumer we’ll be happy to show you around.
